He’ll leverage his City Hall experience to help clients.

Politico wrote about the launch of Oaktree Solutions in an article published on January 4, 2023.

The piece explains that founder Frank Carone, who previously served as chief of staff to Mayor Eric Adams, will help various clients with litigation support, business development and crisis strategy. Among his initial clients will be New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley and Northwell Health, and he’s having discussions with Israeli airline El Al and the upscale restaurant Cipriani.

Carone spoke about his new venture to Politico in his City Hall office, where he features his book Everyone Wins!: How You Can Enhance And Optimize Business Relationships Just Like Ultra-Wealthy Entrepreneurs.

“I will be doing really robust [work] in Washington. I will do it on the state level and I will be continuing to travel around the world,” he told the magazine. “And I will help them navigate the Byzantine set of rules sometimes, and avoid landmines.”

The article details the important work Carone did for New York City under the Adams administration, such as enabling the construction of the Brookdale Science Park and Research Campus in Manhattan and revitalizing the Willets Point neighborhood in Queens.

“The Willets deal was extraordinarily complicated. He was the center. He was the core person. When you spoke to him you clearly felt like you were speaking to the mayor,” Charles John O’Byrne, executive vice president at Related Companies, told Politico.
